Photo Club Vukovar

Photo Club VukovarCountless professionals and hobbyists believe that photography may become a craft of the past, but reality proves their fear unjustified. Even with Photoshop and other image manipulation software, the craving for paper prints will remain. Digital photos will never completely replace the magic created behind a dark room door, and we have a multitude of legendary, timeless and memorable images to prove it.
There are many reasons why enthusiasts buy either a traditional or digital camera and start shooting pictures. They want to capture their environment, families and the unique events they participated in. Others will try to create attractive and ornamental black-and-white, or color images to enhance their home and office, while the keen journalists want to report on today’s history events. By documenting their life, the landscapes, and cities they have visited, and by reporting on the times they live in, they hope to keep their heritage alive, so future generations can learn from it. They like it so much they may even become qualified experts, earning their living as a photographer.
Even if many art-buffs will argue that photography is only the mechanical reproduction of an image, both fine art photography and documentary photography are actually considered an authentic form of art. Just look around and see how many picture and reproductions are decorating our homes, galleries, store windows, magazines and books, just to name a few. So, what do you think?
